Who We Are

Applecroft House is a family business run by Kathy and Don Brosnan and our three daughters. We enjoy meeting people from all over the country and the world, creating a home away from home for our guests.

A woman with short brown hair, wearing a dark blue jumpsuit, greets two people at the entrance of a building. The man has short gray hair and is wearing a plaid shirt and blue jeans. The woman has long red hair and is dressed in a dark blazer and light-colored pants. They are standing outside the door, engaging in a friendly conversation.

Our Story

Applecroft House is a family-run bed and breakfast on Woodlawn Road, Killarney, owned and run by Kathy and Don Brosnan and their three daughters. What began as a passion for welcoming people into their home has grown into an internationally recognised guesthouse - award-winning, highly rated, and deeply rooted in the Kerry countryside.

The house sits tucked away at the top of a quiet laneway, surrounded by colourful, lovingly tended gardens that Kathy has cultivated over the years - a blaze of seasonal flowers that attract birdsong from morning to evening.

At Applecroft, guests are never just visitors - the Brosnans take real pride in making every stay feel like a home away from home, whether you're a couple on a Kerry road trip, a family exploring the national park, or a solo traveller finding your feet on the Ring of Kerry. After years of welcoming guests from every corner of the world, that spirit of genuine hospitality is still what Applecroft House is all about.
